She suggested Việt Nam look for investments in sectors like electronics, consumer goods or agricultural products. “Bangladesh hopes Việt Nam will be a gateway into the ASEAN market for Bangladeshi products,” she told President Quang. He asked that Việt Nam and Bangladesh continue to co-operate and support each other in regional and international forums. Quang extended his invitation to the Bangladeshi President Abdul Hamid to visit Việt Nam in the near future. On her part, Shirin said that Bangladesh wishes to strengthen the relationship with Việt Nam, and committed to supporting Việt Nam in regional and international forums.
