Alisa Williams, one of the newest partners at consumer-focused private-equity firm VMG Partners, is among the very few Black women to have reached partner status at a private-equity firm. An alumna of Yale University and one of WSJ Pro Private Equity’s Women to Watch in 2018, Ms. Williams shares her thoughts on self doubt, conformity and career building in private equity.
