The event was co-hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), the Vietnam Economic Science Association of Agriculture and Rural Development (VIESARD), the Vietnam Forest Owners' Association, and the Vietnam Timber and Forest Products Association. Meanwhile, financial support for forest development was very limited and largely failed to act as a motivation for the cause. The run is an annual fundraising event organised by the British Chamber of Commerce Vietnam (BritCham Vietnam) in support of various charity projects throughout the country.
