The two sides agreed to develop their relationship in a practical and effective manner, commensurate with the stature of the comprehensive strategic partnership, thus bringing practical benefits to their people. Fukuda said Japan considers promoting cooperation with Asian countries, including Vietnam, especially in human resources, a priority in its external relations, and wants to continue collaborating with Vietnam and receive more labour from Vietnam. He asked Fukuda to continue support the Vietnam-Japan comprehensive strategic partnership, and invited him to visit Vietnam again. The year 2023 is viewed as a memorable milestone in Vietnam - US relations when both nations celebrate 10 years of establishing their comprehensive partnership and upgrading the relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership. This is both a result and a concrete implementation of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, he added.
