VHR asks Stalin not to visit State

more-inSenior Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao has requested DMK working president Stalin not to participate in the Rythu Bandhu programme of the Telangana government as it would tantamount to approving the 3,500 suicides of farmers in Telangana. In a letter written to him, he said he had learnt from the media about his visit to Telangana to participate in the programme on the invitation from the TRS government and was writing the letter to give him a true picture of the KCR government. Mr. Rao said Chief Minister, K. Chandrashekara Rao was trying to promote himself as a national leader inviting people like Mr. Stalin for the programme. Mr. Rao said the Chief Minister was not trustworthy and he was trying to play to the gallery offering ₹ 4,000 per acre when the input costs for each were about ₹ 40,000. Only the big farmers will benefit from the scheme and it was only an election gimmick.
