Sarkodie argued that it won’t always go right to have music fans in the same building with the musicians receiving awards. “CAF awards don’t open to the public so if you are a football fan, you can cheer from home and when you are disappointed, you can deal with that at home too. Organizers for the 20th VGMAs at a press conference yesterday banned indefinitely Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy from participating in all aspects of the country’s foremost awards scheme for musicians, thus the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. The two musicians according to the board of the awards scheme have lost their legibility for VGMAs nominations, selections, and performances.
