The vice chancellors (VCs) of all the public and private universities have requested the government to provide a special coronavirus package for universities. The package according to the VCs to enable them to implement the required Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) effectively and prevent any outbreaks of the pandemic on campuses in view of the prevailing apprehension of Covid-19 resurgence. Addressing the meeting, Higher Education Commission (HEC) Chairman Tariq Banuri expressed his gratitude for the tremendous leadership demonstrated by the VCs in this regard. Other VCs shared information on the innovative practices they have introduced on their campuses. Appreciating the range of innovative actions, he advised VCs to keep in touch with one another and share their best practices.
