Tyler Orschel took three trips to the top of the podium during a successful run at the US Cycling Collegiate Mountain Biking Championships. “I’d never really won anything major until this weekend,” said Orschel of the championships, which were held in Durango, Colorado from Oct. 14 to 17. “I knew I was one of the favourites going in but I didn’t know how I was going to react to the elevation. Orschel says he will take the lessons from his championship wins into his next season and beyond. His immediate goals include finding a professional team to compete with and securing sponsors to help fund his world cup season.
