Her husband had previously died from his injuries in the same explosion. Bilkis Baby, 40, passed away at the Dhaka Medical College Burn Unit on Monday afternoon. According to Alamgir’s brother Tanzin Shahriar, his brother and sister-in-law had been in one room of the home while their children were in another. Bilkis was the organising secretary of the Uttara West Thana Mohila League. Preparations are underway to bury the couple at their ancestral home in Narayanganj, said Tanzin Shahriar.
