A family of 75 people was travelling in the Puri-Haridwar Utkal Express that derailed on Saturday evening. Recounting the train derailment horror, a survivor said, "I was going to Roorkee. It suddenly felt as if someone had pulled the chain and just the next moment, the train derailed". "It was within 20-25 seconds that the train derailed. We managed to come out of the train through the emergency window," said another survivor.
