Utica Comets to don their own 'flying skate' sweater

The Utica Comets, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, announced Tuesday that they are going to don a localized version of the Canucks’ two-decade-old “flying skate” uniform. The Comets will wear these specialty jerseys on February 29 and March 11. Adding to the Comets’ imagery in this case is a digitized image of an actual comet, flying through metaphorical space towards the upper-right shoulder. pic.twitter.com/1GQayZRLxb — Utica Comets (@UticaComets) November 26, 2019The Comets will first wear the black-based uniforms on Feb. 29.
