The run up to International Women’s Day feels even more significant this year given the increased coverage of gender issues in the wake of campaigns such as #metoo and Time’s Up. The issues of sexual harassment and gender inequality have never come under sharper focus. And has public opinion caught up with these concerns? According to Ipsos MORI’s unique new global study in 27 countries, in collaboration with International Women’s Day, public opinion has caught up with concerns. Three in ten people (32 per cent) globally believe that sexual harassment is the biggest equality issue facing women and girls in their country.
