The mission to Libya of the Minister of Business and Made in Italy (Mimit) is underway in Tripoli, Adolfo Urso. The signing of agreements is expected in the sectors of industry, raw materials, minerals and energy from renewable sources. The consolidation of bilateral relations between Italy and Libya finds its natural declination in the energy and mining sector, with specific attention on critical raw materials. With a constantly growing gross domestic product and close to 40 billion euros at current prices, Libya has once again represented an opportunity for the Italian production system. Italy is Libya's first trading partner, with trade of 9,067 billion euros in 2023, ahead of China, Germany, Greece, Turkey, Spain and France.
