Malaysians need to do their part to stop a second wave of Covid-19 cases or face another round of lockdown during the pandemic. Positive Covid-19 cases are on the rise again and new clusters have been discovered. Starting today, all incoming travellers into the country will have to undergo mandatory 14-day quarantine at hotels or quarantine centres. Take for example the cases of Malaysians who have returned from overseas and who were allowed to self-quarantine at home. But we haven’t yet reached the levels of the Philippines, where President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered the arrest of his countrymen who do not wear face masks in public.
