MANILA, Philippines — Tropical depression Urduja has made landfall over Taytay, Palawan Monday morning after dumping heavy rain that caused floods and landslides in Eastern Visayas. In a weather bulletin issued at 8:00 a.m., Pagasa said Urduja has maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 90 kilometers per hour. The tropical depression is forecast to move west at 18 kilometers per hour and is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility between Tuesday morning and afternoon. Urduja, which has been downgraded from a tropical storm, triggered floods and landslides which killed at least 26 people, Biliran Gov.
