KOTA KINABALU: Sabahans must treasure and preserve its diverse culture and backgrounds while upholding peace and harmony in the country, says Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal (pic). He said as celebrants usher in Chinese New Year, upholding peace and unity was important for Sabah to stand together and progress forward. He said Chinese New Year is a celebration that is the best medium to showcase Chinese culture in Sabah. “This is proof that we Sabahans live together in unity, ” Shafie said. “My wife and I send our warmest wishes to everyone celebrating the Chinese New Year in Sabah and across Malaysia, ” he added.
