This new tandem flying fox system at Mulcahy Park in Gleniti will open when the grass seed strikes. Playgrounds in Timaru and Temuka are going to become more fun with upgrades confirmed for Mulcahy Park in Dobson St, Gleniti, and the St Leonard Reserve in Temuka. The Timaru District Council's park and recreation manager Bill Steans says that the playgrounds will soon have new equipment including a tandem flying fox at Mulcahy Park. In Temuka, a new activity tower made of recyclable and reusable materials of timber and steel will be installed at St Leonard's Reserve at the end of October. Steans said the more environmentally friendly tower will better suit the park's woodland setting.
