NewsThe social messaging platform Viber is now back online after the government lifted restrictions placed on it. The restrictions were lifted from midnight yesterday. Viber was among several messaging platforms and social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp which were blocked by the government last week following communal unrest in the Kandy district. While Viber is back online, other social media sites, including Facebook, remain blocked for the seventh day today.
