The suspended voting centres are Daskandi, Porakandi and Bandharampur Government Primary Schools in Titas upazila and Bareshwar Government Primary School in Burichang upazila. According to local sources, a union parishad (UP) member was injured during a chase and counter-chase between the supporters of rival candidates over occupying the voting centre in Daskandi Government Primary School. Moreover, similar incidents of clashes and ballot paper stamping have also taken place at the centres of Porakandi and Bandharampur Government Primary Schools. Voting at Bareshwar Government Primary School centre in Burichang upazila has also been suspended over allegations of irregularities.
