Out of the 20 contestants, seven are contesting in the 1st phase and the remaining 13 are contesting in 2nd phase of the upazila polls. In the 1st phase of polls in 86 upazilas, a total of 19 aspirants are set to be elected uncontested. In the 2nd phase of polls in 124 upazilas, a total of 24 candidates are set to be elected uncontested. Five upazila vice-chairman candidates are from Melandaha, Madarganj, Sarishabari, Ullahpara, and Shahjadpur. Five upazila vice-chairman candidates are from Pabna Sadar, Faridpur Sadar, Boalmari, Hatiya and Raozan.
