Total collections under the GST in November had slipped for the second straight month to Rs 80,808 crore, from over Rs 83,000 crore in October. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.85 per cent to 26,616, while the S&P 500 index added 1.18 per cent to 2872.87. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 1,747.2 crore for the same period of previous fiscal.Foreign portfolio investors bought shares worth Rs 11,759 crore (net) so far in January 2018. They sold shares worth Rs 5,883 crore in December. However, FIIs ploughed in Rs 51,252 crore (net) in domestic equities during the previous calendar year, according to the data available with NSDL.
