While the hailstorm lashed many parts of northern plains over the weekend, the inclement weather activity travelled far east to cover pockets of Central Uttar Pradesh, Northeast Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal. Unseasonal downpours and hailstorms have inflicted substantial damage and losses to crops such as wheat, maize and sugarcane. Unexpected weather patterns have impacted the quality and yield of the crops, leaving farmers in delicate and precarious conditions. Leftover circulation of the primary system fetched inclement weather over the eastern parts. The confluence of winds may not be as strong, as it was earlier and therefore, the spread and intensity of the weather will reduce.
