Lifeguards pulled an unresponsive swimmer from the Ottawa River at Britannia Beach Saturday afternoon, according to paramedics. The man, in his late teens, was found floating face down in the water at around 3 p.m. He was given CPR and transported to hospital, where staff continued resuscitation efforts, paramedics say. Paramedics said as of late Saturday evening the man had yet to regain consciousness.
