The University of Regina Rams need a victory and a little help Saturday in order to sustain their hopes of making the Canada West football playoffs. The Rams (1-5) are to face the University of Alberta Golden Bears (4-2) in Edmonton at 1 p.m. At the same time, the University of Manitoba Bisons (3-3) are to play host to the University of Calgary Dinos (5-1). At 4 p.m., the UBC Thunderbirds (1-5) are to oppose the University of Saskatchewan Huskies (4-2) in Vancouver. A Regina victory, combined with a Calgary conquest of Manitoba, would give the Rams some life in the playoff chase. In the teams’ first meeting, Manitoba defeated Regina 27-26 on Sept. 28 in Winnipeg.
