Betting on a strong summer, United Airlines has launched the largest transatlantic expansion in the company's history, the carrier announced Tuesday. In total, the company will launch or resume 30 transatlantic flights through early June. This includes five new nonstop flights to destinations including Amman, Jordan; Bergen, Norway; Azores, Portugal; Palma de Mallorca, Spain, and Tenerife in the Spanish Canary Islands. In addition, United is resuming 14 Atlantic routes and increasing frequencies in six others, such as Dublin, London-Heathrow, Frankfurt and Rome. The transatlantic route network will be 25 percent larger based on available seat miles than it was in 2019, said United SVP of international network and alliances Patrick Quayle.
