Multiple waterfalls from heavy rains cascade over the rock formations at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. The torrential rain which has hit many parts of Australia has reached the country’s red centre. The iconic Uluru has received more than 46mm of rain leading to the rare sight of waterfalls cascading down the sacred sandstone monolith. Tourists have flocked to the National Park in the Northern Territory to grab a glimpse of the rain waters pouring down the red landmark. A post on Facebook from the Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park called the weather “unique and extraordinary”.
