‘MAHMUDUL WANTED TO TEACH NADIM A LESSON’The RAB said Mahmudul planned the attack on Nadim to “teach the journalist a lesson for reporting against him”. With Mahmudul, the RAB also arrested suspects Moniruzzaman Monir, 35, Jakirul Islam, 31, and Rezaul Karim, 26, at his relative’s home in Panchagarh. Mahmudul and his goons ambushed Nadim on Jun 14, RAB spokesman Khandaker Al Moin said at a news conference in Dhaka. Mahmudul led the attack. The arrestees admitted to hitting Nadim with their hands, Moin said.
