Their win not only broke a seven-game losing streak but set a new single-season receiving yardage record for the school. With 138 receiving yards in the first half, Palmer increased his season yardage total to 1,016, setting a new Nebraska single-season receiving yardage record. Stevens’ field goal was also good leaving them 10 points behind Nebraska at 24-14.
