It’s been so long since Circuit City was among the retailers badgering people this time of year to hit the Black Friday door-busters that most people have probably forgotten it was even there. Circuit City was a star, not just among retailers, but among all companies. From 1982 to 1997, its stock did 18.5 times better than the overall market, the best 15-year return of any public company. The Circuit City brand got sold in the liquidation, and then sold again. Circuit City CEO (yes, apparently there is one) Ronny Shmoel told Twice.com this week that plans for kiosks and stores and a Circuit City website where you could actually buy something are delayed.
