Police have arrested the suspected rapist, Angur, 19, after the girl's father filed a case with the police on Saturday night, confirmed Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tongi police station (west) Emdadul Haque. According to the victim's father, Angur, who is from Sundarganj upazila of Gaibandha, came to Gazipur to look for work a month ago. On Saturday afternoon, Angur went to his sister's place for lunch, and finding his niece alone, he allegedly raped her. We will take the victim to Gazipur Shahid Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College and Hospital for further medical tests on Monday morning."
