Last Wednesday saw the culmination of the early stages of a housing movement being willed into action out of desperation and righteous anger. 10,000 people gathering at a rally in Dublin city centre on a weekday at lunchtime is simply phenomenal. A movement has many authors, but it is remarkable how quickly it has gone from a small number of activists occupying properties in the north inner city to this display of mass protest.
