Speaking during his trip to India, Boris Johnson said Ukrainian troops are being trained in Poland in the use of anti aircraft defence and in the UK in the use of armoured vehicleUkrainian troops have begun receiving armoured vehicle training on British soil, Boris Johnson has said. The British Army recently performed capability demonstrations to senior Ukrainian military figures at Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire. Downing Street said Britain was “training a couple of dozen Ukrainians in the UK currently”. Mr Johnson will press for greater defence and security cooperation with India at talks with PM Narendra Modi on Friday in Delhi. But Mr Johnson will be under pressure to push India to loosen its ties with Vladimir Putin ’s regime after criticism over its response to the invasion of Ukraine.
