Russia has asked China for weapons and aid in its invasion of Ukraine after suffering significant losses, the US has said. This comes as Vladimir Putin has his sights set on the West and is "crazy enough" to use nuclear weapons, it has been claimed. Russia fired 30 cruise missiles into the Yavoriv military base the day after Putin warned the West that convoys carrying weapons from NATO would be legitimate targets. Amid a string of war crime allegations aimed at Putin's forces, they are accused of shooting dead US journalist Brent Renaud in Kharkiv. “I think that we’ll achieve some results literally in a matter of days,” Mykhailo Podolyak, a Ukrainian negotiator and adviser to President Volodymir Zelensky, said.
