Uhuru security detail frustrated after missing hotel rooms in Mombasa

Frustrated officers in the President's security detail turned to journalists for assistance when they could not find vacant rooms in Mombasa hotels. Security officers who did not want to be named said it is "routine" to stay in hotels when they accompany the President to trips outside Nairobi. Uhuru Kenyatta landed in the city from the UAE on Tuesday evening to officiate the 41st annual Kenya Secondary School Heads Association conference. The President gave fasting Muslims Ramadhan goodies worth Sh1 million worth, to be shared across the country. Several CBD and Mtwapa hotels, including Jawambe, Safari, Comfort, Wananchi and Lambada, do not have vacant rooms.
