President Uhuru Kenyatta yesterday rooted for the Building Bridges initiative (BBI), saying it would increase resources devolved to the grassroots. Uhuru said that the changes in the Constitution would enable Nairobi, alongside other counties, receive billions of shillings that will help improve services to the people. Besides the projects in Kayole, Uhuru also opened the new Ushirika Level 2 Hospital in Dandora and a community water supply project implemented by the Nairobi Metropolitan Service (NMS). During the launch of the Athi Water Works Development's community water projects in Dandora and Soweto, Uhuru observed this will ensure people live a quality life in the city. We are also putting water points in the area so that people have clean drinking water in their neighbourhoods," said Uhuru.
