President Uhuru Kenyatta has reopened refurbished Nyayo National Stadium after three years of renovations at a cost of over Sh.650 million. Uhuru arrived at the stadium at around 11: 45 am in his convoy before officially opening the stadium. Uhuru walked around the stadium as CS Amina showed him the changes at the stadium as music was played . They later took a walk on the new racing track at Nyayo Stadium. Nyayo Stadium was closed in 2017 for renovations to host the 2018 Africa Nations Championships (Chan), which was later moved to Morocco over unpreparedness.
