President Uhuru Kenyatta has reviewed the number of people allowed to attend weddings and funerals from 15 to 100. Health CS Mutahi Kagwe had directed that all persons attending funerals and weddings wear face masks at all times. The order by the Ministry of Health also requires burial within 48 hours of death and to be presided by public health officers. Meanwhile, Uhuru extended the closure of bars and night clubs by another 30 days. Uhuru noted that as much as the positivity rate has fallen, the virus is rapidly spreading to the counties.
