Kenya will work to restore Israel’s observer status at the African Union, as it is a critical partner in the battle against terrorism, President Uhuru Kenyatta said yesterday. In 2002, Israel lost its observer status at the AU, formerly known as the Organization of African Unity. He said this is essential not only for Israel, but also for all those who see terrorism as a common challenge. The President also said it is critical for Africa to re-evaluate its relationship with Israel to enable Africa to deal with its problems.
