Uhuru orders nurses to resume work by FridayPresident Uhuru Kenyatta. President Uhuru Kenyatta has ordered nurses across the country to end their strike and resume work immediately.In his address, after a meeting with governors at State House, the Head of State told health workers that they have until Friday 8AM to return to work. He termed the strike as unlawful and ordered the county government and Health Ministry to sack any nurse who fails to turn up to work on Friday. Any nurse who fails to report to work as directed above will be dismissed,” he cautioned. Health services have been paralysed countrywide since nurses downed their tools on February 4, 2019 over a return-to-work formula entered on November 2, 2017.
