The Jubilee Party is planning a series of meetings in President Uhuru Kenyatta's Central Kenya backyard as it moves to redeem itself after months of an internal implosion. The party secretariat has scheduled grassroots meetings in Kiambu, Murang'a, Nyeri and Kirinyaga in the next two weeks to revamp Jubilee. The meetings are part of a scheme by the President's men to reinvigorate the wobbling outfit that has been rocked by vicious infighting and blame game over its performance. Mt Kenya MPs allied to the President will lead the offensive to resuscitate the outfit, with the secretariat expected to play a facilitative role. “The leaders from the region will arrange focus group meetings to explain the Jubilee agenda and enlighten party members on the roadmap towards the 2022 polls,” he said.
