The President and the First lady led the nation in public viewing of the body of the late Kibaki at Parliament buildings followed by Deputy President William Ruto and other dignitaries. A brief prayer by Catholic Church bishops preceded the body viewing exercise. The body of the late Kibaki which arrived at parliament buildings at around 7.20 am will lie in state at Parliament buildings from today until Wednesday. 1/2 His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta on Monday led the country in viewing the body of former President Emilio Mwai Kibaki which is lying-in-State at Parliament Buildings in Nairobi. Kibaki’s national state funeral with full military honors and protocols will be held on Friday at the Nyayo National Stadium.
