President Uhuru Kenyatta yesterday launched the first phase of the Ngong Road dual carriageway as part of the government’s effort to reduce traffic congestion. Uhuru said the expansion of the 2.6km stretch is one of the many projects the government is carrying out. Deputy President William Ruto said the stretch is part of the 2,000 kilometres of roads under construction across the county. The same is done in Northern Kenya, Western and many parts of the country,” the DP said. Infrastructure PS John Mosonik said the dualling will form part of an expansion to be done later for Bus Rapid Transport.
