We need to tone down our utterances, from the highest office in the land to the lowest placed Kenyan, for the sake of peace and unity. I might not be a communication expert, but I think that when President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruro say that Jubilee will rule up to 2032, that amounts to irresponsible utterances in our fragile political environment. And the subsequent affirmation from Jubilee supporters, notwithstanding there are elections in 2017 and 2022, point to a very dangerous narrative. Considering it’s a General Election, which is supposed to determine a winning presidential candidate, such talks show they could be having something up their sleeves.
