The actions by both Uhuru and Ruto have also sparked a series of conversations from Kenyans on social media who dismissed them as mere PR stunts. Pictures from the duo's separates trips in Kiambu, Sultan Hamud, and Turbo in Uasin Gishu county have seen the country abuzz from the leaders' humble acts. One picture that has been shared several times on social media shows the President receiving a gift from an elderly lady. The deputy president on the other hand, joined residents of Maili Tisa, Uasin Gishu County for a meal of chicken and ugali.
