Ugandan charged over illegal access to Safaricom protected system


A Ugandan businessman has been charged with unlawfully accessing Safaricon's protected system. The prosecution said between January 20 and March 30, an IT expert at Safaricom noticed suspicious attempts to access the firm's networks remotely from one of their staff members' line. On inquiry, the staff member denied trying to access the system remotely. The matter was reported to a senior manager at the company who investigated the matter. Police said Nsale was using the Safaricom line in question.
