Christchurch International Airport has denied "blocking" a computer application used by people seeking rides with cut price taxi service Uber. Airport spokeswoman Yvonne Densem said her company was in talks with Uber which she said "is not collecting passengers from the airport". Uber drivers might receive a letter from the airport "alerting them to consider how they're operating", Densem said. Uber would support its "hundreds" of Christchurch drivers who he said were all independent contractors.
