Police have laid charges against an Uber driver, two months after a collision at a busy intersection in downtown Toronto that injured seven, including a 69-year-old woman and a 1-year-old girl in a stroller. Police responded to a report of a collision at Bay and College streets at around 3:20 p.m. on Aug. 22. A 54-year-old driver of a black Toyota SUV, with Uber markings, was travelling north on Bay Street, when police say they believed he ran a red light at College Street. At the time, police said the 69-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries and that the 1-year-old girl, 54-year-old pedestrian and the 24-year-old driver of the Corolla were seriously hurt. Six people have been taken to hospital, including a woman who sustained life-threatening injuries, following a three-vehicle collision in downtown Thursday afternoon.
