The officials were arrested for staging a demonstration after they gave the strike notice. “The university management should stop using police to harass union officials and workers and instead open up to dialogue to deal with the issues raised by aggrieved employees,” said Senator Khalwale. About 50 university workers are camped at the police station to demand the release of their colleagues.
