In the viral-vectored vaccines, three candidates came in: Oxford University and Astra Zeneca, Can Sino Biological, Inc. and Tonix Pharma. Finally, for the genetic vaccines, Moderna, BioNTech-Fosun Pharma-Pfizer, Inovio Pharmaceuticals and Symvivo were the potential vaccine candidates. “In phase 2, the potential vaccine is given to people who have characteristics (such as age and physical health) similar to those for whom the new vaccine is intended.
