The U.S. men’s national team’s third and final group stage opponent at this summer’s FIFA World Cup has been decided. It will mark Turkey’s third-ever World Cup appearances and its first since 2002. The USMNT’s showdown with Turkey will mark a rematch between the two nations after squaring off in friendly action last summer. It will be the second-ever competitive meeting between the two counties since Turkey defeated the USMNT 2-1 at the 2003 FIFA Confederations Cup. SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California will host the group stage matchup on June 25 at 10 p.m.
